How to Configure Webinar General Settings, Tracking Codes, SEO, and Custom CSS

Take control of your webinar experience with EasyWebinar's advanced settings. From customizing date and time formats to configuring redirects, adding tracking scripts, improving SEO, styling your pages, and more

Whether you're optimizing your registration pages, tracking marketing performance, or creating a consistent brand experience, you can manage these options directly from your webinar dashboard.

Accessing Webinar Settings

To access these options, open the webinar you want to configure and navigate to Settings.

Within this section, you'll find options for general settings, redirects, tracking codes, SEO, social sharing, and custom CSS. Each setting serves a different purpose, allowing you to customize how your webinar pages look, behave, and interact with your marketing tools.

1. Configure Your General Settings

General settings allow you to customize how information is displayed and how attendees interact with your webinar.

Customize date and time formats

You can adjust the date and time formats to match your preferences and make webinar information easier for your audience to understand.

Available options include:

  • Date format: Choose how dates appear across your webinar pages.

  • Time format: Select either the 12 hour or 24 hour format.

  • Date display language: Choose the language used to display dates.

These settings help you maintain consistency across your webinar pages and make scheduling information easier to understand.

Configure Webinar Language (Live Webinars Only)

Select the language used for on-screen text and interface elements that attendees see while participating in your webinar. This setting helps tailor the webinar experience to your audience’s language preferences. Please note that changing the interface language does not translate spoken audio, presentation content, or uploaded videos.

Show or hide the attendee list

Use the attendee list toggle to control whether viewers can see the list of attendees during the webinar. This is useful when you want to encourage a sense of community and participation or prefer a more private viewing experience.

2. Set Up Webinar Redirects

Redirects allow you to automatically send attendees to a specific URL when they reach certain points in their webinar journey.

EasyWebinar supports redirects for completed sessions and expired webinar access links.

Redirect attendees after a webinar ends

If you want to guide attendees to another page after a live or automated webinar ends, enable the corresponding redirect option and enter your destination URL.

You could redirect attendees to:

  • A product or service sales page

  • A booking page to schedule a consultation

  • A checkout page to purchase an offer

  • A resource page with additional information

For example, if your webinar promotes a service, you can redirect attendees to your booking page so they can schedule a call immediately after the session.

Redirect visitors when a webinar link expires

You can also configure a destination for visitors who attempt to access an expired webinar link. Under the Expired Session section, enter the URL you want visitors to reach when they open an expired access link. This helps you maintain a smooth user experience by providing visitors with a relevant next step instead of leaving them on an expired page.

For example, you could direct them to an upcoming webinar registration page, your main website, or a page featuring your latest offers.

Best practice: Ensure that your redirect destination is relevant to the original webinar and clearly communicates what visitors can do next.

3. Add Tracking Codes and Custom Scripts

Tracking scripts help you understand how visitors interact with your webinar funnel and measure the performance of your marketing campaigns.

EasyWebinar allows you to add custom tracking code to different sections of your webinar pages.

Where can you add tracking scripts?

Depending on your tracking requirements, you can add code to the following sections:

  • Header code: Add scripts that need to load in the page header, such as supported tracking or analytics scripts.

  • Body code: Add scripts that need to be placed within the page body.

  • Footer code: Add scripts that are intended to load near the end of the page.

You can also choose where the scripts should be applied. Supported page options include:

  • All pages

  • Registration page

  • Thank you page

  • Waiting area

  • Webinar page

  • Replay page

This flexibility allows you to track specific stages of the attendee journey rather than applying every script to every page.

What types of tracking tools can you use?

You can add compatible tracking scripts from tools such as:

  • Meta Pixel for advertising measurement and campaign optimization

  • Google Tag Manager (GTM) for managing website tags and tracking configurations

  • Other supported analytics and marketing scripts

For example, you may want to track registration page visits, measure campaign performance, or understand how visitors move through your webinar funnel.

Important: Only add scripts from trusted sources and ensure they are placed in the correct section. Incorrect or conflicting scripts may affect page loading or functionality. Always test your webinar pages after making changes.

4. Optimize Your Webinar Pages With SEO Settings

Search engine optimization (SEO) settings help you define how your webinar pages are described to search engines and how their information may appear in search results.

Within the SEO Settings section, you can configure the following fields.

Browser title

The browser title defines the title associated with your webinar page. Use a clear, descriptive title that accurately reflects your webinar topic.

Meta keywords

You can add meta keywords related to your webinar content. However, major search engines such as Google generally do not use the meta keywords tag for ranking, so prioritize meaningful page content and other SEO best practices.

Meta description

A meta description provides a brief summary of your webinar page. Write a concise, relevant description that explains what visitors can expect from the webinar.

For example, if your webinar teaches businesses how to improve their marketing strategy, your description should clearly communicate the topic and the value attendees will receive.

Best practice: Use relevant titles and descriptions that accurately represent your webinar. SEO settings help provide context, but they do not guarantee higher search rankings.

5. Customize Social Sharing Details

When someone shares your webinar page on social media, you can control the information used to represent it through the Social Sharing settings.

You can customize:

  • Title: The headline displayed when your page is shared.

  • Description: A short summary that explains the webinar and encourages interest.

  • Target URL: The destination link associated with the shared content.

  • Social media image: The image displayed alongside the shared link, where supported by the social platform.

These settings help you create a consistent and professional appearance across your marketing channels.

For example, you can use a branded image, a compelling webinar title, and a concise description that highlights the key benefit of attending.

Tip: After updating your social sharing details, test your page by sharing its link or using the relevant platform's link preview tools to check how the content appears.

6. Customize Webinar Pages With Custom CSS

Custom CSS allows you to adjust the visual appearance of your webinar pages beyond the standard design settings.

Under the Custom CSS section, you can add CSS code to customize supported pages associated with your webinar funnel.

Depending on the available configuration, you can apply your CSS to:

  • All funnel pages

  • Registration page

  • Thank you page

  • Waiting area

  • Other supported webinar pages
