Introducing Backstage and Reactions in the EasyWebinar Live Room

When you’re hosting a Live webinar with multiple co-hosts or presenters, there may be times when a presenter finishes their portion of the session but still remains on the main stage.

Having inactive presenters remain visible can make the stage feel crowded and may take attention away from the person who is currently speaking.

The new Backstage feature gives hosts an easy way to manage this.

Hosts can move co-hosts and presenters to Backstage when they are not actively presenting. They remain connected to the webinar, but they are no longer visible on the main stage to attendees.

This helps keep the main stage focused on the presenter who is currently speaking.

When a co-host or presenter joins the Live webinar, they are placed in the Backstage area.

When the host is ready for them to participate, they can bring the presenter onto the main stage by selecting the plus button.

The presenter will then appear on the main stage and become visible to attendees.

This makes it easy to manage presenters throughout the webinar and move them onto the stage only when they are needed.

Once a presenter has finished their portion of the webinar, the host can move them back to Backstage. This removes them from the main stage while allowing them to remain connected to the session. When they are ready to participate again, the host can bring them back onto the main stage.

This is particularly useful for webinars with multiple speakers, panel discussions, interviews, training sessions, and other events where presenters take turns speaking.

The Backstage feature is also available to the host as well.

For example, if the host has completed their presentation and another presenter is taking over, the host can move themselves to Backstage while remaining connected to the webinar.

This allows the next presenter to become the focus of the session without requiring the host to leave the webinar.

There is one important requirement: at least one presenter must remain active on the main stage during the webinar.

If there is only one presenter currently on the main stage, they cannot move themselves to Backstage because someone needs to remain active on the main stage.

Along with Backstage, we’ve also introduced Reactions in the EasyWebinar Live Room.

Reactions give attendees a simple way to interact with the webinar using emojis.

Instead of typing a message in chat or interrupting the presentation, attendees can quickly select a reaction to express themselves during the session.

Whether they want to show appreciation, excitement, agreement, or simply respond to something happening during the webinar, Reactions provide an easy way to participate.

Reactions are also available to hosts.

Hosts can send reactions during the webinar and respond to the audience, creating another way to acknowledge participation and interact with attendees.

This can be especially useful during presentations, discussions, Q&A sessions, and other interactive moments where the audience is actively participating.

Backstage and Reactions are designed to improve two important parts of the Live webinar experience.

With Backstage, hosts have more control over who appears on the main stage. Presenters can remain connected to the session without staying visible when they are not actively participating.

With Reactions, attendees and hosts have a quick and simple way to interact during the webinar without interrupting the presentation. Together, these features give hosts greater flexibility while creating a more engaging experience for everyone in the Live Room.
