Navigating the Screen Sharing Option

To begin sharing your screen, follow these steps:

  1. Enter the live room

  2. Once you go LIVE, locate and click on the 'Screen' button.

  3. You will now see three options for sharing:

    1. Chrome Tab

    2. Window

    3. Entire Screen

Key Changes to Screen Sharing Feature

Sharing a PowerPoint/Canva/PDF File

  • Ensure the file you wish to share (e.g., a PowerPoint presentation, Canva file, or PDF) is open and not minimized on your system.

  • If the window is minimized, it will not appear in the list of options under the 'Screen' or 'Window' tabs.

  • For optimal sharing:

  1. Open the file and keep it in an optimized window.

  2. Click on the 'Window' tab in the live room.

  3. Select the relevant window (e.g., the PowerPoint window).

  4. Once sharing begins, you can maximize the file for full-screen presentation.

Sharing a File Via URL

  • If you need to share a URL, you can do so through the Chrome Tab option. Once you click Chrome Tab, all open browser tabs will be displayed.

  • Select the tab containing the URL, and you can start sharing the file immediately.

Sharing a Video via MX Player or Device Software

  • If you're sharing a video using MX Player or any other device media player, use either the Entire Screen or Window option.

Remember: The audio input will automatically come from your system’s speakers, ensuring seamless playback for your audience.

Sharing YouTube or Vimeo Videos

  • When sharing a YouTube or Vimeo video, always use the Chrome Tab option.

  • Once you click on the Chrome Tab, the YouTube or Vimeo URL will be visible.

  • Select the appropriate tab and the video will be displayed for sharing.

By default, your browser’s audio settings will be applied, ensuring the audio output is clear for your audience.

With these updates, the live room experience is now more user-friendly, offering better control over what you share with your audience.
