Google is killing off Hangouts on Air in September and you may ask yourself should you be concerned ?
You might be seeing all over the internet that Google is killing off Hangouts on Air in September. You might also think that this will somehow affect your Easywebinar. Well that is far from the truth and here is why. We have you connect by going through your YouTube account/channel to set up the event and grab the YouTube url and not through HOA (Hangouts on Air).
Lets recap a little bit once upon a time they created Hangouts to compete with Skype for screenshare communication. Then they came out with Hangouts on Air that would save onto your your YouTube account as a broadcast. As Live Streaming became more widely used they created YouTube Live that uses the HOA broadcast tool or allows you to use encoder tools to broadcast from like wirecast or xsplit. YouTube Live will remain intact as it's choice for livestreaming and Hangouts on Air as a product will come to an end.
The means in which to start that HOA (Hangouts on Air) will end but for us who own Easywebinar will be just fine by creating your events inside YouTube live.
If you don't already know how how you click on your icon or image in upper right corner then click on creator studio. The page that loads after that will have LiveStreaming tab in left sidebar for you to click on then it will have an events link under it. Once you click on this events link you can create your YouTube Live event get the url of it and place into Easywebinar for your viewers to watch on your event page.. I have attached the PDF to show how to do this.
